Love the experience!

Posted in Testimonials on 21. Oct, 2010

Our son LOVED the army experience! He also loved the chance to use his Hebrew with
the Israel host family he stayed with. Kevin will never forget his amazing experience
and thanks to Young Judaea  his Jewish identity couldn’t be more solid. His
#1 priority for a college next year: Large Jewish population with Jewish fraternities and
sororities. A pretty great priority if you ask us! Thanks for a wonderful camp and Israel
experience.… Read more

Having a blast on YJ Machon!

Posted in Testimonials on 14. Oct, 2010

Just wanted to let you know that Ben is having a blast on Machon. Ayelet re-booked him
on an earlier flight (even though they really didn’t have to) and he got to Israel A-OK. It
sounds like the trip is wonderful. I will be in Israel on Sunday- and hopefully make it in
time to the Machon 2 reception with some Israeli cousins – can’t wait.
The New York staff, Sean, Casey etc. have been great about answering questions
promptly and thoroughly. They are an impressive- and very organized- team. You
should be proud.
Thanks for all you do.

Love YJ and Love Israel!

Posted in Testimonials on 07. Oct, 2010

Tia  just called me — she’s on machon — she is having the best summer of her
life, she absolutely loves it there and she doesn’t want to leave. I asked if she loved
Israel or being with YJ and she said both. And her whole bus says they want to go on
year course. We spoke for 30 minutes, she didn’t shut up once, all she could do was
rave about every single thing they did in Israel (by the way Tia has been to Israel with us
many times so a lot of this stuff is not a… Read more

Thank you for a memorable trip!

Posted in Testimonials on 07. Oct, 2010

Hi Nataly,
I heard from my daugter alex about what a great time she is having and how much she
loves israel. Thanks for making her first trip so memorable. I wanted to suggest a visit
to the palmach musuem in tel aviv. My husband and I found that to be one of the most
interesting sites and all the camp groups love it. If possible, look into it.
Again, thank you

YJ Israel Tour Security Update

Posted in Special on 03. Aug, 2010

Dear Tour Parents and Families
There has been a security related incident on the Northern border.  There was a localised exchange of fire with Lebanese troops on the border.
All the participants are safe and accounted for, they are all in Jerusalem taking part in a sikkum (summary) of the summer.
After consulting with our security advisers there are no changes to the groups in Jerusalem.  The only restrictions we have are relevant for groups that are close to the border and therefore this will not affect the YJ groups.
If we are advised to make any changes these will… Read more

YJ/FZY Maccabia Experience 2010 Update!

Posted in Maccabia on 03. Aug, 2010

Maccabia is a sports spectacular that takes place every year on Tzemach beach on the Kinneret, Sea of Galilee. Maccabia is the chance for each bus to show off their skills as the groups compete against each other in sports, spirit, education and more!
All of the Young Judaea groups and The Federation of Zionist Youth (our British sister movement) meet for two days of activities, which include a talent show, sport competitions, such as soccer and tug of war, spirit challenges, and water sports. There is a parade, with singing and dancing, as well as a final ceremony with fireworks and… Read more

Chalutzim Update 07.31

Posted in YJ Italy on 03. Aug, 2010

On Wednesday, Chalutzim started out their day with a hike. The group then visited Mount Bental where they admired incredible views of the beautiful north of Israel and toured bunkers as they learned about the history of this strategic look-out point. Next Chalutzim met up with a group of 15 Tzofim (Israeli Scouts) who were going to join the group for the next few days.
Chalutzim, along with their newest group members, had lunch and then partipated in a water hike together. This was a great chance to talk and get to know the Israeli Tzofim! Mid hike, everyone had… Read more

Nitzanim Update 07.31

Posted in YJ Discovery on 03. Aug, 2010

Last Sunday, Nitzanim started to prepare for an exciting activity: sailing their own rafts across the Kinneret! They started their day by learning about the activity, as well as going over safety information.
They later travelled to Rosh Hanikra and toured the impressive grottos. Next the group experienced delicious Druze hospitality. As they enjoyed one of their best meals of the summer, they learned about this interesting and unique culture. The chanichim had tons of questions- more than at any other activity.
Monday was the big day! The group arrived to the raft building site an hour late, due to… Read more
